QOW Trio
We welcome QOW Trio, a generation-spanning trio that features firebrand saxophonist Riley Stone Lonergan, drum legend Spike Wells and multi-genre bassist and bandleader Eddie Myer. The trio initially got together through their mutual love of Sonny Rollin's classic piano-less trios of the 1950s but soon found themselves expanding their repertoire to explore the rich and varied territory laid out by the great tradition of big-toned tenor players over the ages.
With a deep knowledge of the music, founded on Spikes’ astonishing career playing with the greats from Roland Kirk and Stan Getz to Tubby Hayes and Bobby Wellins, and a commitment to swinging improvisation, QOW TRIO bring their superbly exciting take on the art of the jazz trio.
Their latest album, The Rule of Three, released in January 2026, is ‘an unbeatable invitation to their tour which visits most parts of the country’. (UK.JazzNews).
