Pat McCarthy and Nik Svarc
We welcome Pat McCarthy and Nik Svarc. Following this guitar duo’s debut last December, we had to ask them back.
Two players familiar to Scarborough audiences from other combos, they
have combined their talents for captivating improvisation and interplay
on a range of jazz and blues tunes.
Pat McCartjhy, as well as leading his own Quartet, in his 40+ years
as a professional guitarist has played with a virtual rollcall of the
UK’s top players including Kenny Wheeler, Andy Shepherd and Alan
Barnes.
As well as being part of Svark/Hanley/Longhawn, Nik has worked and recorded with a wide variety of bands and has played at jazz and pop festivals across the UK, in Poland and Lithuania. He is well known for his use of guitar effects and pedals.
Two guitarists with different backgrounds and styles with one goal, to make music.
