Stony Jazz
+ support Beth Harrop
We welcome the popular Scarbrough based outfit: Stony Jazz. The mainstay of the club’s annual Christmas party, we’ve invited them back for a summer gig.
Built around the song writing/performing duo of Rich Adams and Mark Gordon known as Stony (as in broke), Stony Jazz brings together stalwarts of the Scarborough jazz scene to play the music they enjoy – the swing classics, ballads, Latin and blues of the Great American Songbook together with more recent classics by the likes of Van Morrison and pop covers given a jazzy makeover.
With Rich Adams on vocals and Mark Gordon on keyboard are Dave Kemp (tenor sax), Bob Walker (bass guitar), Tom Townsend (drums) and Adrian Riley (percussion).
In support is Beth Harrop, a young vocalist who made a big impression in her Scarborough Jazz debut earlier this year.
Doors 7.45. Music 8.00. Minimum donation £5. Students and under
18s half price.
This night is part of Scarborough Fair.
