We welcome back Bridlington based violinist Ben Couper, following his club debut last year.
Ben uses his electric violin to play in multiple styles and genres, with a natural ability to improvise, explore timbre and melodic interest. His influences include Miles Davis, Stéphane Grappelli and Argentinian tango player Astor Piazzolla. He’ll be backed in all styles by the MG3.
In support we have a real treat – we’re squeezing a big band into the venue! Jazz Train are part of Scarborough Area Music Centre which has been the training ground for many of the young people who play our support spots. Expect all the excitement that only a big band can bring, under the musical direction of saxophonist Zak Parlby.
