We welcome back guitarist Edison Herbert, who features on the front cover of our current programme. It’s a full three years since he graced the club with his distinctive warm tone, smooth, foot-tapping grooves and melodic improvisation, that shine equally on jazz standards and pop classics.
Since his last appearance at the club, Edison has played gigs all over the UK and in some elite company, including with our guest saxophonist of two weeks ago, Simon Spillett.
Expect top class guitar work in the style of Wes Montgomery and George Benson, who said that Herbert was ‘one of the few cats that can make that thing sing’. Emlyn Vaughn is on bass and John Settle on drums.
